Enum Strategy

  • All Implemented Interfaces:
    Serializable, Comparable<Strategy>

    public enum Strategy
    extends Enum<Strategy>

    Code generation choices enum. Usage is specific to ByteArrays and Texts.

    The class file format can encapsulate several hundreds of megabytes of data but this can negatively affect compile times and runtime memory usage. Use with caution.

    • Enum Constant Detail

      • AUTO

        public static final Strategy AUTO
        Processor is expected to use compile-time heuristics to choose strategy.
      • INLINE

        public static final Strategy INLINE
        Generated code embeds data in class. This generally means embedding data in class files as bytecode.
      • CONST

        public static final Strategy CONST
        Generated code embeds data in class constant pool. This generally means encoding data in class files as one or more String constants.
    • Method Detail

      • values

        public static Strategy[] values()
        Returns an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared. This method may be used to iterate over the constants as follows:
        for (Strategy c : Strategy.values())
            System.out.println(c);

        Returns:
        an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared
      • valueOf

        public static Strategy valueOf(String name)
        Returns the enum constant of this type with the specified name. The string must match exactly an identifier used to declare an enum constant in this type. (Extraneous whitespace characters are not permitted.)
        Parameters:
        name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.
        Returns:
        the enum constant with the specified name
        Throws:
        IllegalArgumentException - if this enum type has no constant with the specified name
        NullPointerException - if the argument is null
      • value

        public String value()
        Underlying string value.
        Returns:
        configuration string
